Room in Hell

Morning After Report

Yeah. Hell Phone is what it is hyped up to be. Smoky, dark and sexy. The techno speakeasy had thrills for all from $6 beers to a pool table in the middle of the action. Partygoers could find themselves dancing one minute and losing a bet on pool the next.

The Analysts, Something Fun, Miles Still & Kazunogucchi at Brooklyn’s Techno Speakeasy, Hell Phone.

The two b2b sets of the night were fast paced and seamless. Miles Still and Kazunogucchi spun for close to 2 hours and not a single blip. The techno was fast, unique and engaging. With each new song I anxiously waited to hope the BPM counter to climb one more coveted tick. These guys know techno.

The Analysts and Something Fun also went B2B with their signature electro-clash-tech-house/techno(hellphone spin) sound. Crushing the decks for around 3 hours, the only question I have is how many vodka redbulls did they chug?! The transitions were smooth and the energy was high. People were thrilled by the unique clash of early 2000’s electronic and modern day Brutalismus 3000 aligned tracks. Hot off their first official public show at The End, you could tell the duo was craving the stage once more. These natural entertainers killed it once again.

If you missed this one you’re in luck. The Analysts and Something Fun are playing at The End, Feb 22nd. Don’t let the FOMO win…
