No Erotica: New York Girls Now

It’s a Tuesday night, cold, wet, and rainy. Everywhere you enter smells like a wet wool coat, yet none of this stops the people from their desire to get close to quality.

Arriving at Karma Bookstore in the East Village, a small line to enter is still present an hour into tonight's book premiere from Richard Kern and No Agency NYC.

Kern has been a photographer in the East Village since the 1980s, with a through-line of authenticity and provocation in all his work. Tonight, Kern and No Agency celebrate the release of No Erotica: New York Girls Now.

No Agency NYC is a modeling and full service culture agency, showcasing raw and authentic talent that contrasts the overly-refined illusion traditional agencies display. The book stays true to Kern’s history of erotica, consisting solely of Polaroid scans featuring the talent firm’s “New York Girls” over the course of 2 years.
